An M3U is the simplest form a playlist comes in: a single link that holds your channels and, often, films and series. Paste it once on our website and every device you activated shows the same organised library, with posters, folders and a place that remembers where you stopped.

The format

What an M3U link is

Technically it is a text file with stream addresses; practically it is the one link your provider sends you. Livaro reads it, splits live TV from films and series, groups everything into folders and fetches artwork and descriptions. The difference with Xtream Codes is mainly what travels along: an Xtream login usually includes the programme guide and catch-up, while an M3U sometimes needs a separate guide source from your provider.

Setup

Add your M3U in two minutes

  1. Open Livaro on your device; on first start it shows a MAC address and a Device Key.
  2. On your phone or computer, go to livaroplayer.com/upload.
  3. Enter the MAC and Device Key, paste your M3U link and save.
  4. Back on the device, press refresh: your library appears, sorted and with artwork.

Typing a long link with a TV remote is nobody's idea of fun; that is exactly why the link goes in through the website and the TV only needs a refresh.

M3U questions

My provider gave me an m3u_plus link. Is that the same?

Yes. m3u_plus is an M3U with extra information per channel, such as logos and group names. Livaro reads both and uses the extra data when it is there.

Do I have to re-upload the link on every device?

No. The playlist is linked to your device via the website; each activated device fetches it itself. Add it once, refresh everywhere.

My list changed at the provider. How do I update?

If the link stayed the same, just refresh in the app. If you received a new link, upload it again via livaroplayer.com/upload for the same MAC and refresh.
