If you came here from a search for an IPTV player on iOS: Livaro is in development for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, and it is not available yet. This page explains what it will do, why an iOS release takes time, and what works today.
The iOS version gets your M3U link or Xtream Codes login, the programme guide from your provider, folders you arrange yourself, and films and series with posters. The point of a phone version is continuity: start an episode on the train, finish it on the television.
iOS is a separate platform with its own language and its own rules, so the player is rebuilt rather than ported. Every release also goes through Apple’s App Store review, and for a media player that review tends to be thorough about what the app plays and where that content comes from. Livaro provides no content itself, which is exactly what we have to demonstrate.
Livaro runs today on Android TV and Google TV, on Android phones and tablets, on Windows and in the web player. The web player is the closest thing to an iOS route right now: it opens in a browser on any device.
We do not give a date, because the last step is Apple’s review and we cannot predict it. Tell us through the contact page that you want it and we will let you know when it is there.
That is the plan, alongside iPhone and iPad. Which one arrives first depends on how the builds progress; the contact page is the fastest way to hear about it.
Not as an app. The web player opens in a browser and is the only route on iOS at the moment. It is not the same experience as a native app, and we would rather be honest about that.
