Samsung Tizen · in development

Livaro for Samsung is being built.
It is not there yet.

We would rather say this plainly than let you download something that does not exist. A Tizen version of Livaro is in development. This page explains what it will do, why it takes longer than an Android app, and what you can watch on in the meantime.

Livaro provides no channels, movies or series, you use your own provider.
The plan

The same player, adapted to the Samsung remote

The Tizen version gets the parts that matter on a television: your M3U link or Xtream Codes login, folders you arrange yourself, the programme guide from your provider, and films and series with posters. Your activation and your playback position are meant to travel with you, so an episode started on your phone waits for you on the Samsung.

Why it takes time

A Samsung app is not an Android app

Tizen is Samsung’s own operating system, not Android, so the player has to be rebuilt rather than ported. On top of that every Tizen app goes through Samsung’s store review before anyone can install it. That review is out of our hands and is the main reason we do not put a date on this page.

Available today

What you can use in the meantime

Livaro runs today on Android TV and Google TV, on Android phones and tablets, on Windows and in the web player. If your Samsung is connected to an Android TV box or a Google TV stick, that is the route that works now.

Livaro on Android TV → Livaro on Windows → Livaro on your phone → Get it on Google Play
FAQ

Common questions

When will Livaro be on Samsung TV?

We do not give a date, because the final step is Samsung’s store review and we cannot predict how long that takes. Tell us through the contact page that you want it and we will let you know when it is there.

Does my activation carry over to the Samsung version?

That is the intention: one activation, your playlist and your progress on every screen you activate. Nothing changes about the price of what you already bought.

Can I install the Android version on my Samsung TV?

No. A Samsung television with Tizen cannot run Android apps. An external Android TV or Google TV device connected to the same television can, and that works today.
